Rainy Days and Mondays

Rain in San Francisco

It rained most of last week in San Francisco and in the Bay Area.

Not exactly a good week to start my new "completely-without-a-car" commute to work, but overall I'd say it went well.

I broke down on Saturday, though, and decided to take the car grocery shopping, which resulted in this:

Oh well.

By the way, my car is the little one on top, in case you were wondering. ;) From that angle and from a distance, she really doesn't look that bad for her age!

She's fine now, but just the same, I think I'll be continuing my green commute for a while, while also keeping an eye out for a replacement for her.

She is out of the ER? Good news. In the first car photo did you notice the bad shape the gray truck is in?

So it's the end of her then? I loved Claude's humor!!!

I loved your previous post about the Grand Lake's marquee messages. I clicked on the link - great stuff!

Tomate, thanks also for your message regarding making links in blogger comments.

I also just received a message from Michael on the same topic and there it is:
-------------
Nathalie, this should help you...

insert the word(s) you want to underline as a link here

What I've done to make it easier, is saved this on my desktop (notepad) and I just open it up any time I need it in the captions of Blogger. Hope that helps...
-------------
I figured I could share the info with you. Cheers
Nathalie

(sorry guys, impossible to translate!)

Don: You know that check the government sent me last year would mean that I have to send her to an auto-dismantler. I haven't been able to send her to her death, yet, how pathetic is that! I'm hoping to put her on Craigslist where she may find a new life in the hands of some kid or some mechanically inclined guy outside of the Bay Area where people still drive older cars, I don't know.

Cali: I didn't, actually, until you pointed it out. Who am I to complain, uh? ;) That truck could use a bit of an overhaul for sure!

Nathalie: thanks for your visit! Your link doesn't work for me, maybe my browser, I don't know, but I sent you an email with the code in text format. If your browser doesn't convert it or whatever, you should be good to go!

Ha ! Ha ! Ha!

The link didn't work for me tomato. LOL

I did enjoy the post and thought your car was the latest victim of the slumping economy.

Thanks for visiting and commenting on my snow covered squirrel.
