Olympic Torch Protest on the Golden Gate Bridge
So, we've heard that the Olympic Torch made it through Paris in one piece after all?
The Torch is supposed to be in San Francisco this coming Wednesday, April 9, but today already, a couple of activits managed to climb the cables of the Golden Gate Bridge and put up a couple of "Free Tibet" banners as you can probably see on the photograph above.
Check out the links below for further information.

Hey Tomate! I hope the torch trip through SF goes well tomorrow. Thanks for the photos and all the links! I especially want to see the KPIX video of what happened in Paris. I'll be at work in SF, but not close enough to see anything. At first look I though you'd climbed the Golden Gate Bridge to take that photo!
Oh, goodness, no, I didn't take these pictures! :)
I'll be a few blocks away from all the action tomorrow, but I plan on laying low.
Oh my goodness, they are sure brave for their cause!
The photos are stupendous!
Your post about the offer for your old car was mind-boggling. Pass the smog test ? Come on!
I enjoyed your post about Henri Salvador too (listening to one of your videos now) - I love 'chambre avec vue', his last album.
Expecting large demos from both sides in Canberra later this week.
Thanks for visiting on my Blogbirth Day!
