Stuffed Tomatoes Convention?

When I first saw this couple run past me on Bush Street yesterday, I thought, OK, the poor guy lost a bet and they're making him run around the block wearing a dress.

Guy wearing dresses aren't all that unusual in San Francisco, but these 2 looked just a little bit a little out of place...

But then, I turned around and saw these guys:

and these guys ...

... and these guys.

Were these people

a) Going to a Stuffed Tomato Convention?
b) Demonstrating in support of equal rights for red-dress wearing people?
c) Protesting the visit of a certain republican candidate in San Francisco that same evening? Or
d) Participating in the Red Dress Run just like they did last year?
e) Advertising for Donna Sachet?
f) All or none of the above?

(Any other idea what this was all about? Go ahead, feel free to have a little fun coming up with ideas of your own in the commenting section, if you want.)

In the meantime, here is a very short video of last year's Red Dress run in San Francisco.

Have a good week, everybody!

I think all of the choices you gave us are logical ones...   I haven't a clue, and can't even come up with a theory...   But I am kind of wondering what color their panties were -- black, I hope...

Très drôle ce défilé de robes rouges dans les de SF, hommes et filles confondus. Il ne faudrait pas qu'il y ait un laché de taureaux dans les rues de la ville !!!

Hahaha, Claude!! You mean it would be particularly bad timing if they had a running of the bulls in the Street of San Francisco that same day? For sure!! :)

Don, I'm pretty sure this was the Red Dress Run (see Red Dress Hashers site and San Francisco calendar of events for hashers

I just checked my closet, and I don't have a red dress. But I clearly need/want one!

Classic! I can't believe I've never heard of the red dress run, or seen it in SF. Maybe I'll catch it next year! I'm not much of a runner, but I'd happily put on a red dress and cheer them on.
