Quand la journee demarre mal/When the day doesn't start right (En/Fr)

English Version Below

Top of a Building next to Bank of America, Market and 2d., San Francisco

Some days you're just better off staying in bed! Like today, for instance. Since I didn't sleep very well last night, I woke up late. I tried to make up for lost time by running all the way to work, but then I lost (?) my wallet in BART (the train) going to work, containing the monthly pass I had just purchased yesterday, the coffee cards I use on a daily basis, etc. Cost of my commute this morning? A mere ... $120. Add to that the cost of lunch in the SF Financial District, another train card to replace the one I just lost, gas for the car ... what was the point of going to work today, I wonder? Fortunately, there wasn't anything too important or irreplaceable in that wallet. I guess it could have been worse. Some days are like that, I guess.

(By the way, I trust that some of our American buddies might be able to tell us the name of that building on the picture, or even its story?)

So sorry about your wallet :(

Can you enlighten us unenlightened East Coasters who don't recognize that neat building?

Thanks for the nice comments. Diopter, I will have to go back and photograph the rest of the building and do a post when I know what it's all about. I just took that picture of its roof becaue I thought it looked kinda nice and it happened to be on my way.

C'est dommage! Reading this caused me to have flashbacks on the way the pickpockets set me up while I was getting on the Metro at Trocadero three years ago in Paris!

That is a nice photograph of that building. I like shots like that.

pfff,

http://transmutable.com/PhotoMaps/SkyscrapersOfSanFrancisco/images/1105438154-800x600-112_1222.JPG

Jean-Philippe has found a much better picture of that building which is a good thing because I'm not sure when I'm gonna have the time to go back and take a better picture, so thanks man! :-)
