Gay Marriage is now legal in California
Big, big news in San Francisco, today! Even bigger than the record-breaking heat wave, actually!
The California Supreme Court ruled earlier today (5/15/08) same-sex marriage in California is legal!
Here is the complete article in the paper.
The Chronicle has also dedicated an entire page right here if you want more details.
I could not take the time to walk to City Hall today to get you some original pictures, but if you hurry, you can probably catch all that live on KPIX anyway.

Awesome news!! If I wasn't sweating in my 82 degree Berkeley apartment, I'd jump up and down. Can't wait to read all about it in the Chron and legal press tomorrow. Woo hooooo!!!
I like the angle of the first photo very much - the light and shadows add a great effect to the image.
Also, thanks you for you kind comment about my photos/blog. David
Love the colors--in your photo, and in the rainbow. I'm proud of California these days.
Great news ! We were precisely discussing that with gay friends yesterday !
Gavin Newsom simply told it the way it was: "It's about time."
