Union Square, San Francisco (En/Fr)

Levi's Store, Union Square, SF

Last week-end, right after Thanksgiving, I went to Union Square, San Francisco, hoping to be able to get a few good pictures of the Christmas Tree they had lit up earlier that day.

I was suprised to see a ton of people taking still pictures in the dark, and thought what the heck, if they're all doing it, surely I'll get a few good ones, too!

But alas, my camera doesn't take the greatest night pictures and I came back practically empty-handed, except for a couple.

Well, almost... because you just never know what you're going to catch with the corner of your camera.

Like this cute little girl who saw me shoot in her general direction, paused an instant as if she was thinking about it, and then decided to give the camera a big beautiful smile!

Have a wonderful holiday season, everybody!

Merci for this insight into San Francisco at Christmas time. It's hard to image what that city would look like at this time of year, so it was a great way to see it. I bet if you had asked the little girl to pose she would have played shy, so capturing her like that was even better.
