"Bay to Breakers"

Hayes Street

This week-end, the 98th annual Bay to Breakers foot race took place again in San Francisco. I didn't have the courage to get up at 5:30 a.m. on a Sunday morning to bring you my very own pictures of the event, but there are plenty of photographs all over the net by now, so you shouldn't have any difficulty finding them. The pictures on this post are from the San Francisco Chronicle (also click there to see additional photographs and full article).

Oh, and of course, what would the Bay to Breakers be without the Bare to Breakers (careful when you click on that website, it launches a very loud sound file.) Anyway, hope you all had a very nice week-end.

Whoa!

ps Your last post inspired me to put up my own little "impressions of Paris" video on Youtube (edited by my wife). Have a look at it if you have the time or next time you feel homesick.

(It usually requires a little buffering at the beginning.)

Merci, Tomate!

Luggi: your video is GRRRREAT!!! May I re-post it here in a future post (with proper credit, of course)? I love it, thank you so much for doing that!

Pierre: Welcome!

Wow! This race drags a huge crowd of participants with "elaborate" costumes too, as far as we can see! ;-)
Thanks for sharing this fun event Tomate.
