10 feet tall

Photographed at the Dog Beach, Richmond

A couple of weeks ago, I thought I got really sick, enough to scare me into going into Urgent Care. I was given a couple of prescriptions, and eventually, whatever ailed me started to go away. I remember waking up one morning, feeling much better.

The breeze was coming through the window and was playing with my toes, since I had completely disturbed the comforters through the night, and my feet were sticking out.

The moment I realized that I was, indeed, feeling better, I felt truly happy, like I was 10 feet tall.

The feel-good moment of my week

My apologies for being away from the blog for so long lately.

If you haven't seen this video already, then you're in for a treat. I give you... drum rolls ...

Susan Boyle

... of Britain's Got Talent (Video lasts 7 minutes, well worth it though. Turn on your sound and watch carefully).

Simon.. (rolling eyes) tsk, tsk...

And if you've liked what you've heard, then close your eyes and listen to this one:

Don't you just love a feel-good story?
Good luck Susan!

Golden Gate Fields

When you say Golden Gate Fields most people think about this:

According to Wikipedia, Golden Gate Fields has been around since 1941, and is currently the only horse racing track in Northern California.

In past years, you could see local celebrity Harry Aleo and his horse, Lost in the Fog.

But today, different contestants came to show their skill (or lack thereof ;).

I give you ... (drum rolls) ... the Annual Dachshund Derby!

Ready?

Set?

Go!!!

Aww... come on, you know you want to see it again!

From the top!

Additional photographs here and a cute uTube video, not from the Golden Gate Fields, but just to give you an idea

Have a nice week, everybody!
